MontaVista Embedded Linux MSD for Intel Atom
MontaVista Linux 6 is a new approach to embedded Linux development that helps developers deliver commercial-ready devices faster. The core of MVL6 is the Market Specific Distribution (MSD) that takes the Linux kernel and user land packages appropriate to the processor or SoC and provides them tested and integrated together.
MVL6 provides MSDs based on the 2.6.31 Linux kernel that are targetted at the Intel Atom Z5xx processor with US15W System Controller Hub and the Intel Atom N450/D510/D450 CPU and 82801HM (ICH8M). The Intel Atom Z5xx, N450 and Dxxx processors contain an integrated graphics controller based on the SGX core from Imagination Technologies. For those customers using an RTOS, such as VxWorks or GHS Integrity, ALT Software have OpenGL graphics drivers which can be certified to DO-178B level A, if required.
