Coyote is a richly-featured, production-ready gateway reference design based on the Intel® IXP425™ network processor. With its broadly-based software support including operating systems and pre-validated RG and VoIP stacks, Coyote offers a complete hardware and software solution for integrated voice and data gateways for the residential, SOHO and SME markets. Coyote is an excellent vehicle for gateway OEMs to get product to market faster, at lower cost, and with less development risk.
Looking for a complete, low-cost IXP425-based OEM product off-the-shelf, without paying for development or customization? ADI offers a family of tailored OEM application platforms including enclosure, power supply, 802.11 radios and antennas, EMC and safety certifications, and flexible application software enabling powerful product differentiation. ADI's OEM products in many cases require no further customization, and can provide very low-cost production immediately, with no additional development, testing, certification, or tooling. ADI's Pronghorn is a flexible OEM platform for a wide of range of products incorporating Wi-Fi technology, Diamondback is targeted at security appliances, routers, and content filtering, and Puma (available Q1 '05) is targeted at VoIP. Turnkey system pricing starts at $149 in 2ku OEM quantities.
Coyote is fully supported by pre-validated application stacks from Jungo, Intoto, Instant802, Trinity Convergence, Wipro, and others. These software packages offer complete gateway services including VPN, stateful packet inspection firewall, ADSL, 802.11 wireless, voice, bridging and routing, and remote management. VoIP capabilities including H.323, MGCP, and SIP are implemented leveraging the IXP425's native DSP capabilities and the POTS interfaces on Coyote.
Now available as an option for your Coyote kit are application evaluation kits from Jungo, Instant802, Intoto and Trinity Convergence. These kits include a suite of fully functional, pre-built applications that enable simple and immediate evaluation of such end-user applications as 802.11b/g, ADSL, VoIP, VPN and firewall using Coyote. With Jungo's demo kit, the Jungo Linux development environment and BSP are also included. Learn more by visiting our "Application in a Flash" page.
