Products for TI OMAP and DaVinci processors SDC Systems are able to provide many of the software components required for developing solutions based on the ARM powered OMAP and DaVinci processors from Texas Instruments (TI). MontaVista Embedded Linux MSDs for TI OMAP and DaVinci processors
MontaVista Linux 6 is a new approach to embedded Linux development that helps developers deliver commercial-ready devices faster. The core of MVL6 is the Market Specific Distribution (MSD) that takes the Linux kernel and user land packages appropriate to the processor or SoC and provides them tested and integrated together.
MVL6 provides MSDs for the DaVinci DM6467 based on the 2.6.32 Linux kernel, OMAP L138 based on the 2.6.31 kernel, OMAP AM3517 based on the 2.32 kernel and the OMAP3530 Zoom2 and Beagle reference designs using the 2.6.29 kernel. These full featured SoC devices include the graphics and multimedia collections allowing high performance consumer devices to be configured "out of the box". For more information on MontaVista Linux 6 visit the MontaVista product page. ALT Software OpenGL drivers for TI OMAP devices
Many members of the TI OMAP and DaVinci family incorporate an integrated graphics controller based on the MBX and SGX graphics cores from Imagination Technologies.
Where this is being used with an RTOS such as VxWorks or Integrity ALT Software can provide OpenGL graphics drivers and libraries which can, if needed, be certified to DO-178B level A. For more information on ALT Software OpenGL drivers for graphics controllers being used with Power Architecture based processor boards visit the ALT Software product page. Kozio POST and manufacturing diagnostics tests for TI processors
The kPOST and kDiagnostics products from Kozio provide manufacturing and power on self tests for ARM based devices from Texas Instruments including the OMAP3 and OMAP4 families. These can be tailored quickly and easily to your target hardware platform and can save many man-months of development effort over writing your own test code. For more information on the diagnostics products available from Kozio visit the Kozio product page.
Services for TI OMAP and DaVinci processors Our experienced firmware and operating system specialists can provide porting services and support to take the core software from the TI hardware reference platforms to your bespoke hardware designs. Hardware enablement
Whether your system uses U-Boot or other boot firmware engineers at SDC Systems can port the refererence code to your target hardware platform.
As embedded engineers, the staff at SDC Systems are very aware that your platform may need to have some unique features implemented at the firmware level and have extensive experience in making this a reality including work on boot time optimisation.
